Every so often I read something or come across something that seems so simple yet so enlightnening that I feel the need to share it with you. A lady was doing a seminar on positive thinking and as she circled the room she reached for a glass of water. Everyone in the room knew she was going to do the analogy of the glass being half full or half empty. Much to their surprize she asked the group how much they thought was in the glass. She got a variety of answers ranging from 8oz – 20oz.. Following that question she asked how much it probably weighed? Again there was a variety of answers. Where she went next was brilliant. She told the group that it didn't matter how much it was at that point but what does matter is how long you hold it. If you hold it for a few moments you wont even notice it. Hold the same glass for an hour and you might start feeling a bit of pain. Hold it all day and your arm might feel numb and paralyzed.

How long the pain from a control group is depends on how long the person or the people affected have had to deal with it. I'm going to open this up for discussion and give you the option to share your own examples. Believe me I could go on and on with this one!
