One of our members, lng, shared a link about on how cults works (generally) and I liked it so I decided to post it here so that everyone can see  and read, so that if ever you encounter one again, the warning signs can flash in your mind and make you aware that they are acting kinda, for the lack of a better word, "culty".

I took it from here http://www.howcultswork.com/ but will just post the Key Points and the modern definition:

Mind control Cult – any group which employs mind control and deceptive recruiting techniques. In other words cults trick people into joining and coerce them into staying.

    Key points:

    1. No legitimate group needs to lie or mislead you about what they practice and believe.

    2. Any group which says that you must belong to their organization to be saved is almost certainly a cult.

    3. Character assasination (It's when the person tries to argue and his character is personally attack but doesn't answer his argument and only makes him feel guilty for arguingis a sure sign of cult.

    4. Cult members are usually very fearful of disobeying or disagreeing in any way with their leadership. Healthy organizations however are not threatened by openly debating issues.

    5. Beward of "instant friends", remember true friendships develop over time.

    6. Beward of a group that tells you who you can and cannot see.

    7. If you are instructed by a group not to read information critical of the group, then that is a sign of a cult.

    8. Legitimate groups have nothing to fear from their members reading critical information about them.

    9. Is information you expected to be kept confidential reported to leadership? If so, then it's a cult.

    10. Never-ending COMPULSORY meetings and tasks is a sign of a cult.

    11. Be especially eager to surf the net if your leaders have told you not to.

Deceived or not, the law was not to eat and they still ate. The bible was the one that stated "through one man". I cannot change that. And before you go accuse me of making my own ideas about it, I will say now that I am not the one who started this kind of thinking, Other people also have the same conclusion and this idea is widely known, just not known by everyone. Here see this:

Why would the jews consider Jesus work as a sin of working on the sabbath, unless it was a sin of working on the sabbath?

The type of work done is completely irrelevant. Work is work. Sin is sin.

Jesus made an exception and said that it is okay. Because Jesus is God and redifined sins in the New Covenant.

But Jesus was born into sin, and exhibited traits that were sinful prior to him changing the rules, and prompting him to change the rules with his parables and teachings when persecuted.

It has gone on a tangent from the original study, which only said "God can return however God wants, and can do what God wants", but has now been taken to more ludicrous examples.

The fact remains God has the power to do whatever, and has a history of everyone believing he's done a ton of sins while he was Jesus. Some of it even made up. Some of it questionable.

Like the stigma, that somewhere, there may be proof he had multiple wives.

The same is true today. And the same is still as irrelevant today as it was 1900 years ago.

That is the type of misunderstanding that Jesus clarified in the New Testament. I think you and the people that accused Him have one mind. The greatest Law above all is to love God and your neighbor, there is no law against love (Galatians 5:22-23) Letting human tradition stop you from showing your love to another is breaking the greatest commandment. That was why Jesus kept healing on Sabbath days, because there is no sin in showing care to people. You should keep that in mind. It might help you along the way. And as you remember, Jesus stated He was the Lord of the Sabbath. That means that the He is the Sabbath that people have been following. Here is more explanation for that:

Misconceptions. All of your thoughts are misconceptions. How can you explain that the people found Him faultless if He was sinful. Explain these verses: John 19:1-6, 1 John 3:5, 1Peter 2:22.
