The law was not made for justification, but to show you up. Under grace, it is all about Jesus. His work. We have been made free, but it is not really that the Truth(Jesus) set us free. It is the KNOWLEDGE of the Truth that sets us free. What is this knowledge? It is the person Jesus Christ and what He did. In which grace and truth came. When the Israelite were brought out of Egypt. They were not brought out because of their goodness or because of their faithfulness. They were brought out because of God’s goodness and His faithfulness. This is a picture of grace. When we put ourselves under the law, God will judge us by that law. The law is based on your goodness, your faithfulness and your ability. When we boast in our abilities we put ourselves under the law.

Now God works. So under grace, we are conceious that God is working. Working for me, working in me, and working through me. Let us rest in Him. And this isn’t lazyness. This is stepping aside and letting the Lord finish His good work. It is not part us, part Christ or part works, part grace. It is full grace. We are saved totally by Jesus alone. Never mix law and grace. They are different. Law demands. Grace freely gives. When you touch grace you touch truth, when you touch truth you touch grace. Grace isn’t a teaching. It isn’t some curriculum you learn at a bible school. Or one of the topics you would learn. Grace is the gospel. Grace is the person Jesus. When you encounter the gospel you encounter grace. And when you encounter grace, you encounter Jesus.

Understand, that the gospel is not about behavior modification, but heart transformation. This isn’t about do’s and don’ts. That’s what the law was for. The law was made to bring man to the end of themselves. Moses was probably the best of them back in Egypt. However, God told him to take off his shoes for he is standing on holy ground. Under grace,  Look at the prodcial son, he was a rebbelios son. But when he came home, his father said, put shoes on his feet, for he has a right to stand in my presence.

Under the law, God condems the best of us. Under grace, God saves the worst of us. Today, we stand righteous before God. You might say "How can we be righteous!?" How did Jesus become sin on the cross? Did he commit sin? No, you see, he received our sin. Do we commit righteousness? No, we have received His righteousness. An Israelite when he sins, he brings his lamb to the temple to the high priest. The priest doesn’t examine the sinner, but the offering. It’s obvious why the offererr is there. So the priest examine if the lamb is good. God is not looking at you for all your uncleaness. He is looking at your offering. Jesus became the offering on the cross. So God is not looking at the sinner. But the offering. The perfect and without blemish lamb died for you. So that you may be found righteous before God.

Remember what Jesus said to the woman caught in adultery. He had stated those without sin cast the first stone and the people threw their stones away and left one by one. He looked at the woman and said "Where are those that accuse you? “has anyone accused you?" she answered, "No one Lord"  So Jesus answered “Neither do I condemm you, now go and sin no more." Now wait a minute, the churches have it backwards. They say "go and sin no more FIRST. Then we wont condemn you!" Sound familier? Now this is powerful. Jesus was without sin, and He couldve stoned her. He was sinless and it was lawfully correct to stone her. So in both ways it was correct to stone her. The people would have stone'd her, but they could not. Jesus could have stone'd her, but He would not. This is grace. The condemnation was lifted and she was free.

If Jesus had been lawful, or she would have said something like "What do I do to be saved and free?" He would have told her to go do this and that and that this. Etc. It was only when the people boasted in their works, where Jesus would give them a lawful answer. Like example: "What can I DO to attain eternal life?" Or "I've kept all the commandments what else do I do?" You boost in yourself? Jesus gives you the law. The law of Christ is not the OT law with changes to fit recent times. It is full grace. If you want to be saved by your works, stay under the law of condemnation. Many churches try to justify themselves and attain salvation with these laws they claim are the Law of Christ. The knowledge of truth is to know that you are saved by Jesus alone. For you cannot save yourself by your doings. It is by His doings, that you are saved. Now this does not excuse sin, but by having the knoweledge, sin has no dominion over you. Under law, sin becomes more attractive. Under grace, Jesus Christ becomes more attractive…

Sometimes the expresions in the Bible are difficult to understand. 'Law of God' is the same.

I agree with the opinion of serg. 😀

    Thank you.
