Thank you Ron and Diane. I too will share my story. It seems like I'm the only former member from Africa who is participating in this forum. I feel like I owe it to all the members (especially the ones in Africa) who are still in the group but are thinking of leaving it, all the ones I introduced to the church, all the ones who are even thinking of joining, I owe it to them to share my story as well

Thank you Diane for being bold and to come out and share your experiences. when i watched your video it flashback all the bitter memories i experienced when i was with this cult. I had almost the same experince like Elievalkyrie about baptism. Even before i was baptised i used to attend the sabbath for over a month when they insisted that it was pointless and useless for me to atttend the sabbath if i was not baptised, and that i would not receive any blessings. I was still studying bible and was still confused and reluctant, but unfortunately they got me. i feel like i was emotionally and psychologically blackmailed and did not realised that until i left this group. The funny part is when the pastor visited me to try to convince and clear my doubts, when i did not agree he straight away said to my face that i have Evil Spirit in me which makes me go against so called mother and father. And Oh yes, i was taught about the end of the world prophecy (2012) which i see some of them (the risk of examining the wmscog forum) cult blatantly refused nowadays. unfortunately my comments are deleted as according to them my testimony was filled with filth. LMAO.

I've been going there and post my own comments and I'll tell you, over there it is you versus 5 to 10 of them. lol. But I am just posting there so that people or members who are having doubts about wmscog can see that they are not alone in having doubts.

Thanks Elievalkyrie, yes i visit their forum and it really annoys me the way they portray this website, accusing of brainwashing and breaking families..huh..give me a break plz. They are just really good at twistings words. they deleted and edit my comment to make it look as if i m on their side.I think most of the comments on their forum are either fake or fabricated and lame. I feel pity for 'em tampered soul stuck with that group and wish if any authorities the government body could stop their fiend propaganda. What? Really? I've also posted comments on that website but I didn't notice that they are editing my words. Actually, my comments stayed there but ofcourse they told me I was slandering their organization and telling me that I would not go to Heaven because I am not following the "right" way of loving God. Kinda funny since they don't even know me so how could they make that kind of conclusion. lol. They really have a US vs. THEM mentality. The US going to Heaven and THEM going to Hell which is very typical with cult teachings.

I was with WMS for over 1 and half yrs and i would say i really regretted it till date. You are right about the US vs THEM mentality they create, that is why who ever does not accept their teachings are termed evil or are influence by evil spirit. So this really affected my relationship with my parents coz they opposed it. I went thru the link you provided and WMS group shares almost all the characteristic. the material is the same as found on this website called <font color=”#009933″>www.howcultswork.com/, i read it beofre i quit WMS it sent shivers down my spine. Soon after i came across this website and that was it for me. </font>

I am just glad for you lng, that you got out of them. Hope you don't mind if I ask, what was it that made you question the wmscog in the first place? Were they too strict? Were they doing something you didn't approve of?

Thanks Elie. The turning point for me i would say was when i read the three volume comic books about heaven, earth and mother. I am not sure if you have read that book and I dont recall the exact names of those comic books but after reading it i felt like i was reading a fantasy/fiction kids comics. It dint feel right just to potray only bout mother, mother's love, sacrifice and all the crap, which i think was overstated and it has nothing to do with what we've learned in the bible. Many would disagree with my point of view, but it somewhat gave me a reason to look for the truth.

Elie, in your church do you use to watch those Opera plays and concert. To be honest, i never liked em and thought it was like a show off or smething. I am just saying.

lng, I have only watched the videos they provided us. I think the people in my country (we are poor. lol)  or should I say in our zion cannot afford Opera plays and concert. ^__^ I didn't know the wmscog would go that far in showing "mother" love. For me, Jesus' sacrifice on the cross was the greatest love that a person would ever know about.

The turning point for me I guess was the fact that they do not seem to explain the bible verses right. I tried understanding their point of view of course but I keep noticing that they are using verses wrongly. There were many, I have started several forum topics about it.
