Does anyone know why Ahns family hasnt come forward and stopped this cult?? Also Zangs family…where are they? Are we sure they didnt have any children together? I feel like they are the only people that could actually debunk all of this! My husband said none of this is important…I’m like are you kidding.

@ UT. Fodder isn’t here. So I’ll turn away from Mama’s prophet instead.

@Mayor How bad was your overseers “reign”? My Korean Overseer, was the master guult tripper

“How could anyone go to site like dat…ungh…They must be crazy. Internet sooooo bad brudder en sista”

Haha. My overseer is still enthroned on the podium behind the pulpit and microphone.

He seemed okay. He was intelligent and understanding up front. He put on good appearances. He never asked for money. But behind the scenes I think he was quite wicked. He was loyal to the cause, to head office, and he treated us with respect up front. But things would flare up here and there. He was the one who would gossip and bad mouth other members behind the scenes. He was caught one time. He flipped his lid one time during the day and all the full timers were scared. He gave a few angry sermons. Looking back it’s funny to me now. He was angry, trying not to flip out and then gave a mildly angry, perturbed sermon. I think one time he wrote a sermon with a message straight to me. Lol. Something I must have said. We just didn’t see eye to eye.

It was almost like he wanted completely control of my life and possessions, and to make the decisions for me. It felt like going further in the church would make be enslaved. I treated it casually, like nah, I don’t think so. I’ll just procrastinate my way out of the church.

My Korean Overseer seemed very intuitive. When a member went through something in their personal life, he gave them new responsibilities or a title. This was done to keep an anchor on the member. But he would throw randomn comments out in sermons and fragrance times…

“Der was situation in NY zion, some bredder en sisders were going to coffee shop between services and grumbling and complaining…Now head office make them go to worship in another Zion. How they get so stupid?”

“People doubt, worry bout Mudder en Fodders life on this Earth. If Fodder and Mudder want to get married and have kids, who are we to question?”

He was always laying fresh mortar and Bricks onto the “brainwash” wall. Keeping it growing deeper and taller. If you thought of leaving, you wrestled in your mind with feeling “stupid”. If something big happened in your personal life, and you were a faithful member, you would be given a task, title, or even go to Korea the next go round. One member broke up with his girlfriend who was a member and also left; he was made the teen boys group leader, and went to Korea.

One members Mother died suddenly. They made her the middle school age group leader.

Even if you get overwhelmed, he would scale back your duties. Im sure that Overseers are taught these tactics at Wms, because they all did it in varying degrees.

Hmmm, sounds right. Keep that anchor on the member. So what are the overseers taught in overseer school in Korea? I’m curious to know. When this church came to the country from overseas, we haven’t had much knowledge of how they operate, and conduct their business. At least we can share our experiences learn about them afterwards. We can shine the light on them. I just don’t like how they come here, try to take possession of our lives, get us under their control, take our time, energy, and money for their gain and our loss. Then we are told, you are chosen, you will have salvation, you will receive many galaxies.

@Mayor My suspicions are, that these are tactics taught at Go & Come. My first two years, we had a Korean member there named “Jason” (Korean name of course). He was a quiet, reserved guy in his 30s. Really standup in comparison to many. He came over here, not speaking a drop of English. He never went preaching, and rarely did preaching prqctice. As we got close, I was informed by a “Good” brother, that Jason had studied in Korea to be a missionary, but pulled out last minute and settled to just be a member. Hmmmm….If your taught to rule with an iron fist, use division as a strategy, bad mouth members and exmembers, and ALL the tactics we have seen and heard about..then a moral, free thinking person would have an issue with leading.

As my “good brother’s wife”, told me, “Jason should be an Overseer or an Elder…but he just couldnt. He knows some studies only the high ups have had.” Even very nice Missionaries have used the leadership tricks once and a while.

Good points. A day will come when the righteous will possess the kingdom of God, and not the wicked. Maybe then Jason will be one who will take possession of God’s Kingdom.

And maybe Jason realized he couldn’t lead a life pleasing to God in such a position. Just speculating.
