Does "reign on David's throne" mean being baptized at 30 and preaching for 40 years?

Hello everyone! Glad to finally be aboard. Let’s all come together, stronger, and put an end to this cult. Please take down these explanations and show them to your loved ones. These explanations prove that the teaching of wmscog is wrong.

    Let’s start with David’s throne.

6 For to us a child is born,

to us a son is given,

and the government will be on his shoulders.

    And he will be called

    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

7 Of the greatness of his government and peace

    there will be no end.

He will REIGN ON DAVID’S THRONE

    and over his kingdom,

    establishing and upholding it

    with justice and righteousness

from that time on and forever.

The zeal of the Lord Almighty

    will accomplish this.

Wmscog teaches that the words “reign on David’s throne” means to be baptized at 30 and preach for 40 years, because David was anointed at 30 and reigned 40 years. (2 Sa 5:3-4)

Nonsense. Let’s see proof that “reigning on David’s throne” DOES NOT MEAN to be baptized at 30 and preach 40 years.

    Jeremiah 17:24-26

“then KINGS who SIT ON DAVID’S THRONE will come through the gates of this city with their officials. They and their officials will come riding in chariots and on horses, accompanied by the men of Judah and those living in Jerusalem, and this city will be inhabited forever.”

Here we see it says kingS (plural) sit on David’s throne. This speaks about the Israelites obeying God and they will live happily, giving thanks to God. The meaning of reigning on David’s throne means to be a DESCENDANT of David and reign as a king. That’s why it says kingS (plural) sit on David’s throne. If reigning upon David’s throne meant to be anointed at 30 and reign 40 years, than all the kings who have reigned on David’s throne have to be anointed at 30 but clearly Solomon was not anointed at 30. It says Solomon reigns on David’s throne (1king 2:12) and it says he was only a little child when he became king, not 30. (1kings 3:7)

Than clearly reigning on David’s throne doesn’t mean to be anointed at 30. Let’s see more.

    Jeremiah 33:20-22

20 “This is what the Lord says: ‘If you can break my covenant with the day and my covenant with the night, so that day and night no longer come at their appointed time, 21 then my covenant with David my servant—and my covenant with the Levites who are priests ministering before me—can be broken and DAVID will no longer have a DESCENDANT TO REIGN ON HIS THRONE. 22 I will make the DESCENDANTS of David my servant and the Levites who minister before me as countless as the stars in the sky and as measureless as the sand on the seashore.’”

Here it literally says David’s descendant and descendantS (plural) “REIGN” on his throne. So the word REIGN clearly means to sit on his throne, meaning the throne of Israel. As it is written:

    1 kings 1:34-36

34 There have Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him king over Israel. Blow the trumpet and shout, ‘Long live King Solomon!’ 35 Then you are to go up with him, and he is to come and “SIT” ON MY THRONE AND “REIGN” in my place. I have appointed him RULER OVER ISRAEL and Judah.”

There is no need for an explanation here. To REIGN and SIT on David’s throne mean the same thing. And David continues to say that to this means to be RULER OVER ISRAEL.

This verse alone shows to reign, or sit, on David’s throne is to be the ruler of Israel. Also it means to come from David’s blood line, which Jesus did (Matt 1:6-17).

In Jeremiah 17:25 we can see many kings (plural) have reigned, or sat, on David’s throne and in Jeremiah 33:21-22 David’s descendants(plural) can REIGN on his throne. Finally we see in 1 kings 1:34-36 that Solomon himself sat and REIGNED on DAVID’S THRONE and in his place and that simply means he’s the RULER OF ISRAEL.

By this we can see “REIGNING ON DAVIDS THRONE” does not mean to be anointed at 30 and reign 40 years. Solomon REIGNS on David’s throne (1 kings 1:35) and he was not anointed at 30, he was a little child ( 1kings 3:7).

Jesus is a descendant of David (Matt 1:6-17) and he is the spiritual king of Israel (Jn 18:33-38) Jesus fits this prophecy perfectly. He has truly reigned on David’s throne.

David does represent Jesus. (Acts 13:33-36) but does Jesus being baptized at 30 have to do with king David? No. Jesus being baptized at 30 isn’t a fulfillment of anything! Actually Jesus was 30 in 27 A.D.

Now 27 A.D. Is the fulfillment of Daniel 9:25 “the Anointed One coming”.

That prophecy can be simply explained.

    Daniel 9:25

25 “Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One,the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.

A seven means a week, even in the bible there is a footnote saying this. No it says there will be 7 and 62 sevens (weeks) from the restoration of the temple to the coming of the Anointed One. So 7+62 is 69. 69 weeks is 483 days. Remember Ez 4:6 and Nu 14:34, a day represents a year. So 69 weeks meaning 483 days prophetically means 483 years. The temple was restored in 457 B.C. So from 457 B.C. + 483 years gives you the year 27 A.D. (No year 0 I’m your calculation so add one). So 27 A.D. Is when the Anointed One comes… That’s the year Jesus was baptized to fulfill that prophecy. He was anointed at baptism (luke 4:18) to be the Anointed One for the prophecy of Daniel 9. Him being 30 that year has nothing to do with it, he just happened to be 30. Him being 30 has no prophetical meaning. The year 27 A. D. Is the prophetical point, not age 30. If it was that important Matthew Mark and John would have put it in their Gospels. Only luke included it because Luke was very precise on his Gospel and detailed (luke 1:3) after all, he was a doctor (col 4:14).

    MAIN POINT !!!!!

In Jeremiah 17:25 we can see many kings (plural) have reigned, or sat, on David’s throne and in Jeremiah 33:21-22 David’s descendants(plural) can REIGN on his throne. Finally we see in 1 kings 1:34-36 that Solomon himself sat and REIGNED on DAVID’S THRONE and it means he’s the RULER OF ISRAEL. Not being anointed at 30 and reigning 40 years. Isaiah 9:6 simply shows Jesus will be from David’s blood line (Matt 1:6-17) and he spiritual king of Israel (Jn 18:33-38)

Sorry Ahnsahnghong, your pretty good at twistingn scripture to make yourself look like Jesus… But us analytical Americans will pick you apart.. Day after day. No wonder Korea is a nice country today… It’s because U.S.A. Saved them from North Korea in the Korean War and than afterward we rebuilt their country and gave them $$$. I hope some prejudice korean is reading this… And knows he is not part of some super race… Because South Korea clearly NEEDED and even today NEEDS the U.S.A. That’s why their country is nice, so you better bow down to the U.S. Flag and worship it as your new idol you prejudice Koreans.

I do not hate Koreans in anyway, that message is ONLY TOWARDS PREJUDICE KOREANS. A lot of Koreans are very nice today and understand there’s no “one race” nonsense. But for the ones that really think they are a “super race” well…. Clearly not because U.S.A. Is a bunch of races and we saved y’all, not to mention beat the North Koreans pretty bad in that war. Your no super race, y’all were defeated by us… A bunch of different races.

Unfortunately, Voice, your family, friends and or whoever, already know.  For whatever reason, they want to be there.  It seems though that everybody has something that will make that individual say enough if enough.   You'll find that many, if not all of us tried the ol' "read this" path, to no avail.  I am sorry.

Yes, unfortunately whatever we say or write here it’s not enough. No matter what proof we get, they are too stubborn to understand, even if to us seem as clear as water, they are too blind to see it. Because they are already in the most perfect truth! It might sound harsh but it’s our reality.

It is definitely my reality.  Over and over I have turned myself inside out to try to get my son to see, but to no avail.  It's been five years, and I haven't been able to get through to him, trying every method I can, and consultiing experts on the subject.  The only thing that will stop them is exposing them, and I am working on it.

My son is a deacon now, and it worries me because there are some high profile lawsuits now, and they are naming deacons in them.  He has let them take five years (or more) years of his life, and mine, because he is part of me.  But if he doesn't wake up soon, there could be damage that will affect him in many ways for the rest of his life.  It is a constant worry.

MM I don't know what coast you are on , or which zion he works with, but here on the east coast, from my insiders I have heard some rumble about lawsuits.  Although the most recent one I believe concerned that evidence book, they needed to know everyone who owns it. Probably because of the lawsuit going on in Korea about publishing.

My son is in the Chicago area Zion.  Yes, I heard about the publishing lawsuit, but that is just one of three major suits that are happening right now.

I’m sorry MountainMom, I’ve been following some of your post and I really admire how you still keep fighting after 5 years. My love one she only been there for around 6 months and i already feel like giving up. And its not about me having patience, but just about hearing her talk so confidently and thinking that there is nothing i can do to change her mind about this cult. I tried attending and understanding, but their doctrine just quite don’t makes sense to me. I mean there is just too many gaps to their logic, and when i try to ask questions about it, their only response is, those are mysteries that you can only understand with deeper studies, but those deeper studies won’t be revealed unless i get baptize, which i won’t do. That’s their trap.
