I don’t usually come on here. Well only to see if anything drastic has changed to wmscog or if they’ve been exposed yet. It’s been a year since i left and thanks to Jesus himself I’ve been handling it well. But recently I’ve been contemplating if I should upload a video on YouTube about the brainwashing wmscog does. Being there for 8 yrs I’ve witnessed a lot of things that I’ve been feeling to express to members , ex members , members that our questioning and family with members inside this cult because I really want people to realize that the wmscog is a Cult. But I’m scared that the wmscog may try to track my IP address, brand me as a cult expert or even sue me ??? Just seeing what honest ex members went thru from sharing their story is sad but I really want to come out with my story and expose the lies of wmscog , any advice ???

Anonymous, my advice is to go for it.  You are right that they will be upset about the exposure, but I doubt they can do anything about a person simply telling the truth.  Free speech is still protected.  There is a lot you can do to make sure you aren't crossing boundaries into areas where you could get into any kind of legal trouble.    Just stick with the truth and don't name names publicly. (Unless they are public figures, then you can, I hear)  Leave people their own anonymity just as you want yours.  But definitely tell your story.  As an eight year member you would have so much information that could help others.

Oh man kudos to you!! Ex members speaking out is what we need more of!! It not only encourages us family members that has loved ones in there,but even helps discourage new member from joining… if they research it and see before or during their incounter with the cog!! I know it’s scary and a lot of times you want the passed behind you!! But it’s really important that ex members speak out more.. So that the cog can’t claim these are lies.. How can 1,000s of people be lying?! Not so.. Thank you so much for your courage and I pray you search deep in your heart to go forward! May the Lord Jesus be with you.. And guide you in what to share and speak on!

don't embellish your story and that should help

the science group has a big problem now with all of the people coming out so publicly – the billboard in hollywood saying "Call Me", which sheds public light on the policy of disconnection that is the calling card of high-demand groups.  The recent 20/20 show had 6 more people testifying that they are cut off from loved ones.  Big surprise:  science-group says they all lie – cutting off is "voluntary", and done by the members by individual choice.

if you don't face ostracism from loved ones still in this group then go for it

Please speak out on your experiences! It seems so hopeless for the people that have family in the cult. We need help. The only way to help is to expose the truth. I know its scary. I really dont understand how they are suing people that are sharing the experiences. Its so frustrating that they are trying to take away your freedom of speech when they have already stolen 8yrs of ur life. Im angry that ive wasted 8 yrs of my life trying to get my husband to see the light. (Ironically the same amouny of time u have been in) I thought this would have ended in 2012 but nope. They lied their way out of ever saying that
