I'm not here to slander by any means but i want to know if the Church of God is still worth going too? I'm getting mixed signals from this church,
yes they keep the commands of god and they are nice people, but something i feel is missing. Like claiming there is God The Mother, as the bible says strictly there is only one God ''The Father'' and about second coming, i see where they are coming from, but Christ will appear like a thief in the night, every eye and ear will see and every knee will bow. I want to know your honest opinion about the church? I'm not here to judge, if you're a member or not, i want to know honestly about this church.
Blessings

UntouchableJParticipantHi Ice. In my opinion, WMS is a church that tried to fulfill its interpretation of the “true” church but falls short once a person investigates. I will give my story, and thoughts unbiased and with truth. I was a member for 4years and left this past Fall. The very things sold me, became the things that helped me realize the lies, and that many things didnt add up. I was preached to about many of the “bait” sermons; Sabbath, being Baptised Immediately etc. I was sold on the exstent of knowledge but the secrets were my first Redflag. When I was baptised I remember hearing, “In the name of Holy Spirit, Ahnsahnhong”. This was alarming because I remember thinking, “They didnt tell me what or who that is!”. Hearing, “Your faith is young, we will learn about that later!” sounded more like an excuse to withhold things than truth. Second thing for me was the convienent answers. Many of the answers to questions from leadership were convienent and the answers changed over time. For instance, early on I was told by a Deacon that, “The early WMS members didnt realize who AHN was, and realized after he ascended, that he was GOD!”. Later on it was stated that members called him GOd when he was leading the church. There were so many leaders with conflicting info. Not only to mention, I was told AHN ascended
..then that he left for China on a train, and that was ascention (makes no sense). Then finally, the truth, that AHN died of an aneurysm. I could go on and on. I dont fault members still there, I made some great relationships. But my opiniom, is that this church trying to fulfill the one true church actually makes them lie, hurt family bonds, and be so far from prophecy it isn’t funny.

Mayor and MikeParticipantI used to be a member. In the beginning I thought it was a good church to go to. I liked the korean culture, the group setting, bible studies etc. At least you will get a good education of the bible. They will help you understand the bible. But when I started doing my own research and having bible studies with other people I started finding errors in their teachings and doctrine.
The problems I found personally came from the culture itself. I had a problem with all the appearances they presented, the lies I was told, the deception and the control that comes from the culture. I was taught that the year 2012 could be the end of the world. Luckily I didn't believe it 100%
Also this year the wmscog kept the passover last month, March 24 I believe it was. However the 14th day of Nisan does arrive until next week. The church kept the passover in the wrong month this year. I was told by them that they have the perfect turth. It sure does sounds good, but once I doubled checked that, I found many biblical errors.
Go there if you can get something out of it. But be careful because in my opinion they may control your life, create division between your loved ones, and try to make you believe things that are not true.

Jjw808ParticipantI joined at the beginning of year, been to a few services but found them quite boring and repetitive it’s the same stuff their teaching in the studies. Lol they keep giving me a study on keeping the sabbath I think they know that I’m still going to Sunday church

UntouchableJParticipant@Jjw More than likely they suspect it. To them, your either “All or nothing”. I’ve seen them ostracize members for literally being physically incapable (member had two fractured vertebrae and a slipped disk). One thing I know they did in my first year, was ask members to only keep one service. They claimed it was to test their faith; “If he listened, then fall away, it was bound to happen anyway”. That logic madw Zero sense. That would be literally, committing spiritual murder.

Jjw808Participantwhat’s the reason for them changing the service times 30 minutes later? It’s winter time in the Southern Hemisphere wouldn’t it make more sense to have it earlier?

UntouchableJParticipant@Jjw You mean for the Spring and Autumn feasts? I never had that explained to me.

Jjw808ParticipantNah just when I was baptised the services would start like 7 then I think since last month the all the services now start 30 minutes later? I asked the missionary but don’t think he knew either. Or does the service times always change with Autumn and Spring

UntouchableJParticipant@Jjw The times do change for the Autmn and Spring feasts
April 18, 2016 at 7:55 AM #71616
icecake76ParticipantYes it changed right after Passover
So now it's
9am, 3pm and 8pm
I think it changes again after the Feast of Tabernacles.
