Can any human being repent and not will every human being repent? Key word is “Can.”
Well lets see….. bearing in mind that human beings have to be tempted to sin, while the fallen angels ( principalities, rulers of the darkness etc) knowingly sin. This doesn’t mean that we often don’t know that what we are doing is wrong but that we have to be tempted to sin. So can any human being repent?

emilParticipantI believe so. I believe all of us can repent but not all of us will.

Sarah2013ParticipantIf so, why is that gate narrow?
April 19, 2013 at 8:36 AM #58521
emilParticipantThe gate is narrow because it is the less appealing choice. As Paul said, we do the things we don't want to do. Our intellect tells us to repent but our flesh (desire) pulls us towards the pleasure of sin.

Sarah2013ParticipantSo is this to say that the things of God is not appealing. I didn’t like the idea of Christianity when I was a kid because to me, worshipping God was not cool. I know better now. I love my Jesus.

emilParticipantA lot of the time, our narcissistic desire wants us to do something that will give us pleasure or avoid a difficult situation. In those moments, following God becomes less appealing.

Sarah2013ParticipantSo true

I believe so Sarah, all humanbeings can repent, but only God knows what's in their heart & if they truly mean it. Remember the 2 thieves on the cross, one said "Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!"
and the other one answered, and rebuking him said, "Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? 41 "And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong."
42 And he was saying, "Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!" 43 And He said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise."

SimonParticipantJohn 6:44 "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.

KFParticipantLuke13:3 – “No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”
But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. None of the transgressions that he has committed shall be remembered against him; for the righteousness that he has done he shall live.” (Ezekiel 18:21-22) These are literally God’s own words that He spoke to Ezekiel.
I must say that we do have such an awesome God! Every sin you and I have ever committed are gone if we have remorse and repent of our sins.
