Stuff I’ve seen or heard about the cog!! It’s insanity.. The other day my husband forgot something in the truck I had to drop off to him at his cog.. They had boarded up the doors and my child says mom look there’s like 15 cameras!! Not literally, but yes there was 8 right above the door (one door) smh.. They said “someone random” not an ex member broke the windows and ran.. Just cause maybe they just dislike them.. But it’s something they expect.. Blah blah.. I wish I could share the picture.. I’m in shock.. The ones you had there in the first place weren’t clear enough to see or catch who did it.. But you put 5 more of the same ones and that will!? That doesn’t include the ones around the rest of the building.. Woahh!!

There seem to be cameras at most if not all Wms churches. Not only outside, but inside as well. The leaders are extremely paranoid, probably because of all the trouble and heartache they cause. They might figure someone is going to retaliate. I haven't heard of people doing anything like that before, though. Could be random, could be something else.
I think the cameras in the church are so they can spy on members and new recruits. They keep a close watch on visitors, I know that. I was even followed into the bathroom there when I visited, and the person who was likely assigned to me never left while I was there. Kind of creepy, really.

Excellent point JW! The cameras were reversed on the "camera obsessors!" They put cameras everywhere because they want to see everything that is going on. The beautiful part of the Rebecca piece is that the world got to see what really happens when they think no one is watching. A good dose of their own medicine!
If they want to know who broke the windows they should ask mother – god sees and knows everything, right? Really, why have cameras at all? Just ask mother!
Well said, Ms. Freedom! I also loved that people were able to see how they act when they think no one is watching! Sure is different than their scripted interview persona.
The Cameras are for security, and spying. Period. A member I was close to, and who did security, warned me early on that the cameras in our “zion” had audio capability. I figured soon after that our Overseer at the time was listening, because after fragrance he would be shut in his office. This is just my speculation.
The cameras were able to catch some kids who broke into a members car, and stole his phone once. Lol
At my daughters church the windows were blacked out, it was I between two businesses in an outdoor shopping strip. No sign it looked abandoned but go through the front door…boom. 60 people and instant church. Not expected. (No phone number in yellow pages, 360 churches in area have one)no info anywhere about the church in area. It’s much larger now. Still no info. When you visit, everyone turns around and is expecting you when you walk in.
Our “zion” had no number posted either. There was a number to the office phone, but few if us knew it. We had the Overseers number. Whats really funny, is that they would get people walking into their churches in large numbers if they didnt act so sketchy. But since they dont like ;Poor, Struggling, Broke, or anyone that doesnt look like someone from an Episode of Leave it to Beaver, they dont want you.
How does that alone not make members leave?! Or the fact that everyone looks when u walk in. Normal church allows u to take ur phone in and take pics and doesnt care if u come back to church or how you are dressed. My husband has to leave his phone in car. Whats going on in church where you cant bring phone in?? BUT the cog can video tape u but u cant video tape them. Double standard to say the least!!!
If you can’t bring a phone in, then you can’t catch them in a double standard. Plausible deniability. Didn’t see it, didn’t record it,….then it didn’t happen. Notice the public relations response to the failed 2012 Prophecy; “The Church of God has never preached that the world would end in 2012!”
Yes. They never published that info as an institution. Or, sent members out preaching it. So, “technically” its true. But we know that the study was conducted and told to members. That’s why your husband can’t bring his phone in. Imagine if one person recorded the 2012 prophecy? The Church couldn’t trick a dog into being baptized, then.
The Zion in my city has all the blinds down. All the time. Can't imagine what the electricity bills look like.
And on top of that they have thick curtains on the inside. That's how paranoid these people are.
The church has rented an office space, which they claim is just that – an office. But if only the other residents in the office building knew what's taking place after work hours… And to think there's a daycare center right above the church. >.<
That doesnt not look inviting or even resemble a place of worship. What are they so paranoid of? Ex members or just people being nosy? Is it bc if all their info was out there in public they would be embarassed or persecuted more! Im a little confused why their churches look like prisons? Dont they want to persecuted more lile Jesus! Aww they cant take the pressure:( Did anyone get anything good on your phone? I would have brought my phone in anyway to be honest. Im very observant and Ill catch a person staring before they even look my way. I would have trusted my instincts!! Im so sad that no one got anything good like 2012 failed prophecy. Did anyone at least have it written down? I cringe to know there is a daycare center above…awful!

@Abba They wouldnt let us write the sermon down. I went to a “Mega” bible study for 7day Creation once. It was taught by a Pastor from Korea who struggled with his English. They wouldnt let us write down the sermon either…..all 6hours.
6 hours!? I would have forgot everything being said especially if person didnt speak English well and couldnt write down. Why didnt they want u to? So there is no proof? Not sure how they expect u to preach when you couldnt take notes?
@Abba Well, I can speculate why they wouldnt want the information down on paper. They initially always claimed;
“We dont want people to Slander Fodder en Mudder”. But realistically you have a hard time recanting a statement if its written or recorded. If nobody has it documented, I can easily say, “I never said that!”. Also, if they need to change doctrine or a point to a study, it makes it easier if there is no paper trail.
They have had things happen. Ive heard stories and a few things happened. The “zion” we left, was previously a Methodist church with a soup kitchen and living quarters for the needy. Two men came in once, looking for a hot meal and a place to lay their heads. Since the front door was never locked, they walked right in. The Overseer met then with hostility, probably yelling like he always did. One of the men took a swing at him, and a small scuffle ensued. I also was told of a woman who waltzed in on Saturday during service, intoxicated. She was trying to worship, but was escorted out. I think many issues they have with the public, are based on the general publics assumption that they are a normal church. If your down and out, most people find a church and seek God in prayer. At Wms, they greet you at the door and then tell you to get the he*ll outta dodge.
That doesnt sound like the true church to me. Very interesting that people dont see right through the fakeness:( BTW when i tried to pull up this site its no longer the first one in search engine. The true wmacog came up and accusations and then trying to shoot down the lies! What a joke! I hope this site never goes away. I know they want it to. I cant imagine the traffic on here. Its probably overwhelming
@Abba Thats a motive of theirs they have been doing for a while. They try to keep traffic up on their site, so that the Anti-Wms vids and sites are a non factor. It doesnt work though. You will see vids of ex members and sites.
I was trying to find an existing topic, to match what just happened. While walking in thr mall (Today, Saturday around 1pm) I saw a brother of lower faith who often times came to me for advice. He didnt like alot of the Overseers behaviours and actually thanked me for standing up verbally to it once. Anyway, he told me as we talked, “Well, I knew something happened with you”. I told him as I do with all members I see now, “Look at me…Im here, Im alive, and fine.” I didnt even ask why he wasnt in “zion”. He informed me, “Oh…..im not at church today……I have alot of things on my mind…ya know”. I just told him, “I understand…trust me”. I bring all this up, because I could see in his eyes, he didnt want to be bogged down in a building watching videos and talking for 16 hours. On a bigger level, he, like many members…know DEEEPPP down, something isnt right about it all. I remember times where the Overseer would say something so far left, and I would around and see that expression on someones face as if, “Did he really just say that?” I think deep down on that base Subconscious levek, members know that WMS is a crock of bull.
