Recently I talked to a parent of a wmscog member who had one of the 2014 wms calendars that they give (or sell to) their members. I have to say, it is the most bizarre calendar I have ever seen. Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, and even their own Passover are not acknowledge on this calendar. There are no feasts marked either. Yet every man made holiday I know of is acknowledged there. Valentine's Day, Memorial Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day,Fourth of July, even Columbus day for crying out loud. But nothing about their own holidays and feasts, or even Passover. How strange is that? Why don't their own sacred happenings appear on their own calendar? And of course, there are the (archived, I'm sure) pictures of Mother, and the verses on the May page that imply that your own mother is inferior to "Mother" mother.
Another bizarre factor is the September page. On that one it has a picture of an auditorium of people at their 2013 "Bible Seminar"and the caption under the picture saying, "2013 International Bible Seminar: World-reknowned scholars gather together to testify about God the Mother, based on scientific evidence." Really? They have scientific evidence and they aren't on the world news or even the city news? And, they have a picture that was taken that centers prominently on older, distinguished looking caucasian fellows. Do these people photograph better, or is there any reason for that? Also on that page are pictures, and of course, titles, of their "world reknowned scholars." There were three from Peru and/or Ecuador, and three from the U.S. If you look up their 2013 International Bible Seminar you will see the article with their names on it. Pretty interesting. It is on the internet already with their names listed, so I guess it can be considered public knowledge.
I am very surprised that these people are listed as "world reknowned scholars" when I have never heard of them before. How world reknowned can they be? I found out later that one of them spoke at a big church gathering on the east coast and was touted as the "smartest man in the world." This smart fellow told the crowd that he was baptized within a half hour of meeting wmscog people. The whole crowd jumped up and cheered! Really, how smart can this guy be? Rather disappointing.
You have to question why all the titles are featured as well. More attempts to legitimize something that is obviously not legitimate, in my opinion.
