So instead of preaching I guess they’re offering Bible classes to the public? Is this their new way of recruiting?
Thats the Downtown branch. Interesting. If many leave after this great dissapointment of 2012 they are going to need to find other ways to recruit new members.
If they have five or six voicing their agreement to whatever is being taught then there's a chance that most of the others in the room will go along with it. It's not good but it is in our nature to not rock the boat too much.

Not that much in NY because newyorkers are different they dont have time to seat and listen to someone. Their approach is different. For example once there was a short term preaching very close to Hardvard university and only caucacian looking were encouraged to go because according to them that was the type of target they had for baptisms. Hispanics would go to hispanic countries and so forth. In Tenessee short term preaching we were told to have a small conversation with people before askinf them if they ever heard about heavenly Mother…

yes, she do stand at a podium sometimes throwing little jokes and giving short sermon etc, but if i was making as much as her, with only a smile and a hanbok…. i would stands and smiles the whole day long at that podium, and i bet i can stand longer than her.
She's sacrificed enough for a camera at least…

My brother told me a story once. There was one time when zhang was standing in the pondium that a wmscog member from among the audience was praying silently and fervently that if zhang hears his prayer, would she please let him know by lifting her hand and miracle of all miracles, people, SHE DID! *Applause *Fireworks *Wonder of wonders theme song. Well anyway, the story goes on with the members of wmscog being very confused seeing that zhang was raising her hand up for no particular reason and it took very long too (so I guess that was an effort if the story was true).
I was told a similar story about one of the pictures it has Zahng in the front along with other people wanting "sisters" in first several rows and "brothers" in the back several rows and our deacon had a huge smile on his face and he told a story where he has just asked mother to give him a sign if she could hear him and she raised her arm and he he was like woah and she did it again like to confirm…

Ah yes, I totally agree. Matthew 24:24, "For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect." fits the wmscog and their leaders perfectly. But it is wonderful to know that many are now turning away from them this year.

LOL. You are such a flatterer Stained. Yep, and the worst part is seeing their superior-than-thou attitude towards other religions. All I see in them is a bunch of people doing everything they can to earn their own salvation. If eternal life wasn't guaranteed by the wmscog, I doubt the members would work so hard…so I guess it just goes back to a person being selfish. They don't do those tireless work for the church like preaching and gathering "fruits" for their love of God. Behind it all they are just trying to assure their own salvation…selfish really.
