fromtheothersideParticipantWho said I went through any? I've never been put in an iron maiden by the Catholic Church or burned by the stake by the Catholic Church or sawed in half by the Catholic Church or beheaded by the Catholic Church. Thanks to Father and Mother!
April 26, 2013 at 8:20 AM #58390
emilParticipantYou did mention persecution. So then let us understand who was persecuted and in what way. Lets get real here. We are not behind some fence.
April 26, 2013 at 8:31 AM #58391
fromtheothersideParticipantNo you arent, you're behind a computer monitor! lolz^^
April 26, 2013 at 8:36 AM #58392
emilParticipantOh oh oh there you go off again. ADD in high gear today or deliberate side-tracking?
April 26, 2013 at 8:40 AM #58393
fromtheothersideParticipantI don't think the post is about me so let's stick to the subject about the Article.
April 26, 2013 at 8:51 AM #58394
emilParticipantFinally we agree.
So coming back, you said that people whose family members are in the wmscog have a problem and you called it persecution. Can you explain?
April 26, 2013 at 8:59 AM #58395
fromtheothersideParticipantPersecution comes in many forms. Locking people in a mental institution because they won't believe what you believe, beating them with a belt, locking them out of the house. This is physical abuse and it is also persecution. Also words can be used. Even pickets are also persecution. They're many different forms of persecution.
Religious persecution is the systematic mistreatment of an individual or group of individuals as a response to their religious beliefs or affiliations or lack thereof.
So being "mistreated" is in the view point of the individual, doesn't necessarly have to be physical abuse. It could mental or verbal. It could be strong or light.

So then a person can feel mistreated without actually being mistreated? This "feeling" can be reinforced through preaching that "your family members will persecute you"?
April 26, 2013 at 11:28 AM #58397
SimonParticipantHe didn’t say that at all. He said it could be non physical
And I am sure some really are mistreated by people outside wmscog even being a minority there are honestly horrible parents our there who will do as he.described for “far less
April 26, 2013 at 12:20 PM #58398
emilParticipantWhat is the meaning of 'So being "mistreated" is in the view point of the individual,'? I think it means that is the person's perception. I did not dispute him on the physical abuse aspect. I agree it would mainly be non physical. FTOS himself said it is the viewpoint of the individual that he is being "mistreated".
I really do not know what are the kind of parental actions that you would describe as horrible, being from a different culture and country. Would love to hear more about what constitutes a horrible parent in this regard.
April 26, 2013 at 2:52 PM #58399
MountainMomParticipantFTOS, I'm not paranoid. I just know when someone is peeing down my back and telling me it's raining. I hope you don't call that member a liar. You know, the one who said Mother told them about Chicago having the worst winter ever this year, which of course, didn't happen. They set a record for least amount of snow, etc. He isn't the liar. I think you know who is.
April 26, 2013 at 2:58 PM #58400
MountainMomParticipantAnd as to your definition of persecution, then you should agree that the wmscog persecutes the Catholic church. I saw the video when I was at the church, it was constantly running, villifying the Catholic church as evil. Pretty systematic I'd say.
And just so you know, disagreeing isn't persecuting. It's when you go about it systematically like in your videos and lessons against Catholics. You have it down to a system. No one else does that.

Yea it was the "inquisition" There is no other persecution on God's people than what the Catholics did. Horrible, just horrible!
Shall we discuss, on a more than anecdotal level, how "us vs them" contributed to the senseless death in the inquisition? Fair warning: I will own you on this topic.
fromtheotherside wrote:
Simply put, persecution.
When were the lions released? I missed that in the news. Someday you will have to answer to people that actually were persecuted.
fromtheotherside wrote:
Exactly, because we follow a different belief from the mainstream people are against it, only because what we believe goes against mainstream. You should think about what you posted.
Proverbs 24:6, Proverbs 11:14, Proverbs 15:22
Methinks Proverbs is good advice for someone telling someone else to <clears throat> "think about what you posted".

ILJC2013ParticipantWhy are members of the cog even on this website? That is against the rules!! This web site is for people that have hearts and care about helping people that are lost. Why can’t they mind their business? Since they are the true religion why are they so worried about this web site where they have to have a rebuttal for everything. These situations are not made up just to slander the cog….they are 100% destroying more families day by day and it breaks my heart that all we are trying to do is prevent it.
Atheists don’t believe in anything so I guess that is better then mainstream…that makes a lot of sense. Wtf!

Please allow me make a point by picking on ILJC2013 for a moment….
ILJC2013, everyone knows that the Branch Davidians and David Koresh were the true religion. Everyone knows that!

"we were all there studying the Bible because we could see that David had something to teach that nobody else did".
Do I even have to point out that David had something that NOBODY else did?

fromtheothersideParticipantAgain you have no proof that Mother said anything remotely close to that. The same way persist on claiming She did shows your claims are unreliable and false. You would probably believe a bird who comes to your window and told you stories about our church. also I never peed on your back I only pee in toilets. Never even pissed in the wind before. So paranoia yes I do believe so, I only mentioned that I new your son never said anything else beside that.

Mommy dearest.
April 27, 2013 at 6:26 AM #58406
emilParticipantFTOS I don't want to say anything about mother that might be false. May I ask you a question about her? I read on a wbsite an account by someone who visited your main church in Korea and he mentioned that mother wears a hearing aid. Is that true?
One more thing. If mother can be concerned about all her children, I would think that MountainMom has a right to be concerned about her son.
April 27, 2013 at 6:30 AM #58407
Sarah2013ParticipantFTOS is that true? Does aka Mother wear a hearing aid? Why is it that Jesus did not have any ailments? Not even a cold syndrome.
April 27, 2013 at 7:04 AM #58408
SimonParticipantWe have no reason to believe jesus had no ailments
