Another failed prediction and another placing the blame on the church members. You haven't made enough oil? What are you all bridesmaids now? Why are you choosing to follow along with this? Haven't you been lied to enough yet? Your turn, tell us why this is anything but another bigger lie to cover up another failure?

I have phyically met one of the people who decided that the Saturday Sabbath in the USA should be all day. Prior to this vote there were two or three services and members could / would usually attend one of them. This group started out with one service in the morning, then two morning services. Eventually they added an evening service for those member who had a difficult time coming to the morning services. After a few years of this they decided that the Sabbath was all day so the members should be in Zion of doing stuff for Zion all day. It seems that this was addopted by every Zion in the USA. If they're all the same in this why can't they seem to be of one mind as far as the teachings of god?
why would someone tell you this? at least someone higher up responsible for the change?
The all day WMSCOG Sabbath was not created until this group along with someone from Korea decided that it should be this was. It is a man made creation. This is one of the people I've tried to get you in contact with. There's more information among the member that have left than what people realize.

Yes but seems like no one who would be in power to make a decision would be in contact with you

RahabParticipantI also spoke with the same member whom Joshua is referring to. He is am early member from one of the founding Zions in the USA. He told me that in the beginning there was only one Saturday service. But then some member proposed to add an evening service to accommodate people who had to work. Eventually enough time passed and the teaching became that Sabbath requirement meant all day.

SimonParticipantif you say so

JoshuaParticipantI promise you that the people who would be in power as you put it would probably only contact me through a attorney. You know what I mean. I've tried many times now to talk to higher ups in this organization but even the people that I spoke to have blocked me and never answered my questions. Fear and self preservation stop a lot of people from hearing and appropriate taking action.
January 8, 2013 at 11:01 PM #50656
JoshuaParticipantThat should have been "taking appropriate action," Sorry folks.

SimonParticipantI just find it a little strange someone not in power had such authority I dunno lol

I know what you mean Elie. However, I understand Simon differently.
First of all, I get the feeling that Simon's Zion was much "milder" than most others. Probably because of the lack of too much Korean influence.
Secondly, I believe that Simon wants to make sure that the WMSCOG is only blamed for the wrongs that are indisputable so that the blame sticks. He is reluctant to blame without clear evidence or just on the basis of opinions or guesswork. This way, they (wmscog) cannot use statements made on this site to proclaim "persecution" to their member who has read it.
The biggest reason why Simon comes accross this way is because he is not very articulate and uses short cryptic sentences.
My own feeling is that Simon is the ideal devil's advocate for us here.

That's not true, the church always kept morning and afternoon services, The evening services started in the early 90's even before the first missionaries came to the states. He has info mixed up or has some misunderstanding.

JoshuaParticipantHi Longhaul, welcome back. The people who I have talked to were the ones running their paticular Zion. At that time they really felt like they were a family. Over time things like spying on each other, back stabbing, public chastising of members came into play. Most of the origional members were not cool with these changes over time. They do freely admit to being instrumental in creating the all day Sabbath. This is not some kind of misinformation or misunderatanding. Over time the older member get wise to the falicies of the WMS and eventually leave or get pushed out. They start asking too many questions that only have on real answer. The answer is that there's something not right about the WMSCOG. Doubt is not tollerated for long and questions bring doubts. With the all day Sabbath, there hearts were in the right place because they believed that the Sabbath is all day so the members should be involved with the things of God all day. How it turned into a requirement to be in Zion or doing stuff related to the Zion is a different story. The fact is that they voted on it, implemented it, and this is how it came into being. It's a man made thing!

SimonParticipantnot gonna say you’re lying Joshua . it would be strange fit them not to have always been all day remember the Sabbath DAY but I dunno. do we know how ncpcog does it?

this is TRUE. Ahn originally tought 1st and 2nd service only. It was changed later to add "more blessings" or more tithing…

longhaulParticipantWell what I was talking about was about Korea. Just as Simon said 9 and 3 were regular and 8 was added by Mother, for the reason of male adults having to work on sat. The Korean Missionaries who were the first to start in LA (LA Pastor, Chicago Pastor and NY Pastor) kept services all day as they did in Korea but most likely the American brothers who were just beginning probably weren't pushed to keep it all day because the missionaries probably were think they wouldn't be able to handle it and would stop coming. If the Korean Missionaries did not keep all day, they would loose their positions as leaders and would most likely be made just a regular member. That kind of thing is not tolerated by the church.

Good point. The way the church works, theres no way a member would even be able to suggest that and get taken seriously.
