Here is the danger of having been entangled with Wmscog…..
1. You no longer want to be connected to any church. This has caused some to resent God….. How sad.
2. You barely want to hear much pertaining to religion, especially Christian religion.
3. You are confused about who God really is.
4. You don't trust people, especially people who claim to be of religious background.
5. You don't know how to pray correctly
6. You often find yourself wanting to say "God bless you," or "sister or brother" yet resenting it.
7. You often want to resent people from a certain culture but know they are not to blame.
These are the dangers of being caught up in an organization that cannot prove anything within reason. I have two friends who recently got out of Wmscog these are their complains.

You can get rid of them mentally. It's just a faze you know. Sad we have to go through this but it's only for a moment.

emilParticipantI have not ever been there myself but i see that in so many of the members here.
Even before that, I had told my friend whose wife is entrapped that she will never be the same again even if/when she ultimately quits.

This is why I am so bitter witth this organization. It takes away the zeal of wanting to belong to any church. Anything that does this to a person cannot be of God. How can God be in the midst of the human specie, yet, it's like a sphere of confusion.

AnonymousInactiveI know somebody who described it as being "spiritually raped."

DisturbedParticipantAdd paranoia to the list.
It’s a terrible thing that this organization can be so destructive. I have nightmares, wondering if I’m in or out, have I fallen away or was that the bad dream? It’s absolutely mind boggling.

MountainMomParticipantDistrubed, it is going to get better, so hang in there. I do agree with Emil that people aren't the same after they get out, but at least they are free and can come away with some lessons learned. And at least their families don't desert them like the members desert and villify ex-members.

I would like to say that 1-7 is me! They stole my faith!!! The most sacred part of human kind!!! I am like those atheis people I used to preach to. Now I know why they think and feel like they do. Some where, some how The Religious system of this country has failed us.
Freedom of Religion for who? "We the People" or "We the the money hungry vultures, our country allows to take advantage of us?"

Yes, we can be healed. It's a serious matter to be told "Hey, look there is god in our midst and he who worships god the way we instruct will surely make it to heaven." Like imbeciles we follow, only to find out later it's a false god. That, my friend. can drive anyone bananas.
April 29, 2013 at 1:25 AM #59137
DisturbedParticipant@Truth…I am feeling the same way you are. But please have hope. We can still have the hope for heaven. I am not letting them take that away from me! They have taken sooo much but not my hope for heaven.

emilParticipantI am sure most of you will be healed. I firmly believe that this site is group therapy through which you will find God's healing touch.
