A simple idea about writings in stone.

The Ten Commandments as we all know were written in stone. Here's what I recently discovered, the story about the woman brought to Jesus to be stoned for adultry has a bit of stone writing to it. Jesus was in the temple courtyard when the Pharasees tried to trick him into revealing himself as a false prophet. Many of us have seen this story played out in movies where Jesus writes in the sand with His finger. Truth is that the temple courtyard was stone! Jesus took His finger and wrote on the stone! It is not known what Jesus wrote on the stone but some speculate that it could have been the Ten Commandments, a list of offences that this group had committed, or even the fact that they had only brought the woman when both the man and the woman were guilty of this crime. We just don't know but what we do know is that God once again wrote on stone. Curious.

How do you know the courtyard was stone?

I was told, as a member, that Jesus was writing the names and the sins of those who were standing around Him.

Also, did anyone else learn in the WMSCOG that the 2 Stone Tablets had both the 10 Commandments and the 7 Feasts written on them?

Yes that's what I was told that they were written on both sides, front & back, but others also said that the 2 stone tablets side by side equals the open bible, in which the feast are written and once written it can not be erased.  written in "STONE"

They say the scrolls were opened (the bible) because before that everyone was living in the dark ages, they had no idea about the 7 feast and mother.  That's what I remember.

Others as in other members or just other people? I never heard about the tablets equalling the bible as a member. So, the scrolls [bible] were spiritually opened so people would know about the Feasts and Mother.. Did they say Mother had anything to do with the Feasts?

yes others as in other members, this is why I knew something was wrong because there was always 2 different versions being taught in the suppose "True Church of God"

they said during the darkages no one knew about the feast, especially the passover, it was not being celebrated, the bible was then opened (spiritually) by Ahnsanhhong who taught them everything including mother, who was the mystery in the bible hidden since the begining.  They said mother is the tree of life.

that's all I can remember, was anyone else taught this way?

the bible has been around for thousands of years,  but it was sealed no one understood it.  Just like something written in stone is engraved forever, so that's how it was compared. The word of God in the bible = the stones, side by side  written on the front and back they form a book.

This was coming from the members.  Don't know how true it is but I believed it, made sense at that time and I had no idea if it was true or not.

Oh.. that makes sense. The written forever part. I was told the same thing that Mother is the mystery that had been hidden since the beginning. There are many mysteries in the bible.

mother = Colossians 1:26  the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord's people.

I wrote in another thread that Ash never said the Feasts were written on the stone tablets. It's in the Green Book.

And how could they say that without adding to the Bible?  For a group that talks so much about not adding to the Bible, they sure do a lot of adding themselves.

There are two things wrong about this interpretation.

    1. Paul is saying the mystery is being disclosed in his time which was 2000 years ago.

    2. A reading of the context of the verse indicates that the mystery Paul speaks about is that salvation is available to the Gentiles as much as to the Jews, a fact hitherto not known.
