At the time, everything they taught made sense. Since I’ve left, I’ve been struggling with many things and among them is trying to disregard their teachings. Was it all lies? I felt safe knowing I was “protected” by the Passover, but at the same time I felt scared of all other churches. How do you clear your mind to start over at a new church? I have tried but anytime a spiritual point is made, my mind snaps back to the rebuttals that WMSCOG embedded in me. I have also tried revisiting the studies to disprove them piece by piece but that overwhelms me and leads to anxiety. Someone suggested I speak with my former priest from the Catholic Church I attended before WMSCOG, but that’s another struggle is overcoming the fear of that particular church as most of you might understand from one of their teachings. Does anyone have any suggestions?
