I was told to memorise the sermon book then preach to unit leaders and deacons to get signature for approval of Elder. I was wondering why must memorise the sermon from the book word by word. I was ignored when not doing good and progressing well for sermon practice. I don't know why must this be the way to know God better or for better skills for recuiting members for wmscog!!

SimonParticipantno I don’t admit to that lol
didn’t notice any fake Korean accents as far as actually I guess it was used a lot in door to door Wal-Mart and park preaching not nearly that often though
January 6, 2013 at 12:15 PM #50552
KCParticipantah yea ๐ the accent, somehow i guess for some people, its a trend in wms to speak with korean accent, even when they are not korean, dont know a word in korean and talking in their own local language.
actually i guess some people actually believed that thats how the tounge of holy spirits actually shouldve sounded, afteral budang actually supposed to be the actual touch down site for papa god, amen! bokmanibadaseyoo.

I would sit there in utter disbelief, amazement (and a bit of sadness too) @ the phoneyness of the kids coming in from wherever speaking with a korean accent like within a week or two of their arrival because they were trying to fit in. I could so see their vulnerability and susceptibility to the touchy feely greetings they would get for showing up. So sadd.
January 6, 2013 at 4:55 PM #50555
KCParticipantand those kids basically mostly just lonely people, thus they would just dismiss the obvious signs, hints or whatever that says something just not right with the group, they just want, need and dont want to lose the "attentions" they think they have recieved in a sion…. which basically not given for free ๐

jellybeanParticipantThey not only come with the accent but say that they love the Korean Culture after going to see "Mother" and try to learn what they want to tell her in Korean so she could understand them. Some become super Fans of South Korea and listen the music in Korean, Start learning Korean, Start cooking Korean Food at home and attending to Korean Markets to buy the typical food. I have nothing against Koreans I actually respect very much Cultures. On the other hand, this people end up thinking "I want to do all this because this is how Father Christ Ahn Sang Hong lived." This is how he was raised. I knew a girl that knew Korean and the sisters would bring their letters in English for her to translate in Korean. They would make many Scrap books with pictures of themselves and their team and ask a Korean member to translate the phrases in Korean to put their message in there. Saddly I know now that "hello!" she aint God so all that was wasting time. When I met that kind of members I respected their actions and said nothing about it but still saw them as exagerated people. I dont know if that is part of the Mind control or of the fact that American young members (in the "truth") feel certain inferiority from Korean "brothers and sisters" because they were raised in the country that their God lived and is living…No matter how much they try to convince everyone of the opposite.

ElievalkyrieParticipantFunny how they try to imitate how Ahnsanghong lived when they don't even know half of his background or where he came from and what his life was like when he wasn't preaching yet.

SimonParticipantwe were told Americans had greater faith than Koreans and that’s why God went to Korea because they needed more proof. lo
and I dunno what aspect you’re thinking we don’t know about him?
January 10, 2013 at 12:44 PM #50559
ElievalkyrieParticipantWhat I mean is Ahn's biography… they don't know Ahn had a wife before Zhang and had sons and that he called himself prophet Elijah and that he came from 7th day adventist…you know stuff like that. Maybe some knew but they don't tell it to everyone.
"We were told Americans had greater faith than Koreans and that's why God went to Korea because they needed more proof." Are you kidding? They really told you this? lol. That's so funny.

Hmm…Well I base the things I stated above to my brother who didn't know all of these. Just don't know now if he has "additional" beliefs.

EmilyParticipantWouldn't that suggest that he wasn't as busy "preaching the gospel" as the wms claims? I mean he had time to date, get married, and have a "physical family"? What would be the point of "god" doing that? Let me guess…to fulfill prophecy lol!! I'd like to see that prophecy.

Well they said he had to have children because he is showing that he is our Father… idk lol
also how much dating occurs in Korean courtship custom? I am not sure
January 22, 2013 at 5:20 PM #50568
MountainMomParticipantWell, apparently not much since I know of instances where the Pastor arranged marriages of U.S. citizens to Korean women in the church who couldn't even speak English.
January 22, 2013 at 9:31 PM #50569
SimonParticipantbut that's the cult not normal Korean culture so it is hard to be sure
