Former Member Fights Back With Anti-SLAPP Lawsuit
After the second lawsuit against former member Michele Colón was dismissed by the Court, Ms. Colón filed suit against the World Mission Society Church of God New Jersey alleging malicious abuse of process, among other claims. In brief summary, the case alleges that World Mission Society Church of God New Jersey filed multiple, and ultimately unsuccessful, frivolous SLAPP suits in order to silence constitutionally protected criticism of the group. The case is currently scheduled for trial in June of 2020.
