More of Ahn Sahng Hong’s Mistakes
Previously we saw several of Ahn Sahng Hong’s statements that contradicted the Bible. God does not make mistakes. People do. Since Ahn Sahng Hong made mistakes like this, then he cannot be God. Were those just a few isolated statements, or did he do this regularly? Let’s see.
Is God just?
On page 337 of The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life, Ahn Sahng Hong says that God rules unjustly in heaven:
Ordinary people are the angels, or the holy people of heaven, who sinned and were born as men; they were driven out from heaven because they rebelled against God, being tempted by Satan. Among them, some sinned unintentionally, being tempted, and were unjustly accused and hurled to the earth.
Compare this to Deuteronomy 32:4, which says God “does no wrong” and is “upright and just.” Psalm 50:6 also tells us that He is “a God of justice.” Many other verses agree–God does not do anything unjustly.
Jesus and the Most Holy Place
Also in The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life, on page 61, Ahn Sahng Hong states:
Jesus entered the Most Holy Place in heaven for the second time on October 22, the tenth day of the seventh month in the sacred calendar, 1844, through which the door to the truth was opened and the religious reformers began to appear…
Compare this to Hebrews 9:12, which says that Jesus “entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood.” To enter the Most Holy Place (the Holy of Holies) “once for all” means that Jesus finished that work and does not need to do it again.
What does Luke 15:7 say?
On page 22 of Visitors from the Angelic World, Ahn Sahng Hong quotes Luke 15:7 to say:
Therefore ‘ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent in heaven’ in Luke 15:7 are thousands upon thousands of angels in heaven…
Compare this to the actual text of Luke 15:7, which says, “there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.”
Notice that Ahn Sahng Hong has changed the position of the phrase “in heaven” in order to support his teaching that we were once angels in heaven. This misquote changes the meaning of the sentence.
Correctly Handling the Word of Truth
2 Timothy 2:15 tells us to be a worker who “correctly handles the word of truth.” How has Ahn Sahng Hong handled God’s word? Not in a manner fitting one who is supposed to be God himself. Ahn Sahng Hong was not God.
