True Righteousness vs. Self Righteousness
In my humble opinion some members from the wms are all about self righteousness and not true righteousness. Seems like there was a pack of FEROCIOUS WOLVES in here a couple of hours ago trying to devour the lost sheep.
Self Righteousness
confident of one's own righteousness, especially when smugly moralistic and intolerant of the opinions and behavior of others.
holier-than-thou: excessively or hypocritically pious; "a sickening sanctimonious smile
VS.
True Righteousness
An important part of righteousness is that a righteous person is honest, dependable and trustworthy – does not lie or deceive. Lying and deceitfulness are not reconcilable with righteousness
How would you rather be?
A self-righteousness characterized by pride, or a true righteousness characterized by humility.
God says:
Proverbs 13:5 The righteous hate lying, but the wicked act disgustingly and disgracefully. 6 Righteousness guards people of integrity, but wickedness undermines the sinner.
If a person is righteous (just and fair and morally upright), that leads to good works.
One does not become righteous by doing good works; a person can do many good works and still lack righteousness.
Righteousness is something that comes from the inside; it cannot be produced by outer works. – But, a righteous person will live in a just and fair and morally upright manner. That includes practicing good works.
Much can be said of a person's character by the way they use their tongue.
