Sueno MaruyamaParticipantThere is NO passage in the Old Testament that states the Saviour will come as a carpenter. However, there is an interesting discussion of this topic here:

Love'n HoneyParticipantI will search for it later. My ship's going underway so I won't be here for a while. But I'll look for it in my bible. I remember reading something that said the words "carpenter" & "stonemason" in the OT. It was told to me that it was about the Christ but I have to read it again.

Love'n HoneyParticipantEd hominem!! It's not nice to attack people in such a way.
2 Sa 5:11, Idk how the COG interpreted it but they interpreted it as how Christ would come.

That doesn't make any sense.
2 Sam. 5:11, "Now Hiram king of Tyre sent envoys to David, along with cedar logs and carpenters and stonemasons, and they built a palace for David."

Love'n HoneyParticipantThe same thought that came to my mind.

SimonParticipantI never seen that verse used before I would just have stared at them and then laughed thinking it was a joke.
June 21, 2012 at 5:58 AM #43040
Sueno MaruyamaParticipantYeah, let's take Scripture thousands of years apart and sew it together and make it into anything we want ….

Ezekiel Chapter 37
26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them–it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; and I will establish them, and multiply them, and will set My sanctuary in the midst of them for ever.
27 My dwelling-place also shall be over them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
28 And the nations shall know that I am the LORD that sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for ever.' {P}
Isaiah Chapter 33
20 Look upon Zion, the city of our solemn gatherings(fesats); thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a peaceful habitation, a tent that shall not be removed, the stakes whereof shall never be plucked up, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.
i did insert "feasts" in your quote, b/c that is what it is talking about, correct? Lev 23, the ssacred assemblies, gatherings?

SimonParticipantYeah but Yehshuah HaMashiach did not, He spent 99% of his time telling them to follow Torah in Spirit and in Truth while the Pharisees and Saducees kept saying "no" seems to me he was the ONLY true prophet of his time. (besides John and the 11)

SimonParticipantDo no bear false witness against thy neighbour

June 22, 2012 at 11:09 PM #43050
SimonParticipantNo it does not fall in the term of murder. You CANNOT murder an animal.

Sueno MaruyamaParticipantExcellent …. I have posted before about how using the Bible to prove anything is quite meaningless … by the way, I do enjoy the "meat" side of things … beef steak, salmon, fresh halibut, delicous roasted chicken … HA HA HA
