Does God make mistakes?

Psalm 18:30 says, “As for God, his way is perfect; the LORD’s word is flawless…”

God does not make mistakes.  People make mistakes, but God doesn’t.  If a person claims to be God, and yet makes mistakes, then he or she cannot be God. Let’s take a look at some statements Ahn Sahng Hong has made.  The following quotes are from his book, The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life.

What is the greatest commandment?

On page 105, Ahn Sahng Hong says the greatest commandment is the Passover:

Although the people of Judah seemed like they were observing God’s laws, they neither realized the Passover, the greatest commandment in the Law, nor kept it.

Ahn Sahng Hong

Compare this to Matthew 22:36-38.  Jesus did not mention the Passover at all when asked about the greatest commandment.  Instead, He said it was to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”

Did any Egyptians keep the first Passover?

On page 449, in regards to the original Passover, Ahn Sahng Hong says yes:

…when the Israelites were released from slavery in Egypt, the houses that kept the Passover by putting the blood of a lamb on their doorframes were saved, while the houses not marked with the blood of the lamb suffered the plague. Even Egyptians who put the lamb’s blood on their houses, were saved.

Ahn Sahng Hong

Compare this to Exodus 12:30, which says that among the Egyptians “there was not a house without someone dead.”  There were no Egyptians who put the lamb’s blood on their houses and were saved.

How much did Jesus preach during the Feast of Tabernacles?

On page 465, referring to John 7:37-39, Ahn Sahng Hong says Jesus preached every day:

…Jesus Christ went up to the temple and preached every day during the Feast of Tabernacles, and on the last day of the feast He said…

Ahn Sahng Hong

Compare this to John 7:14, which tells us that Jesus did not preach everyday during this feast, but only began teaching halfway through the festival.”

Is Ahn Sahng Hong God?

Why would Ahn Sahng Hong make such statements in contradiction to the Bible?  At the very least, Ahn Sahng Hong was inaccurate in his study of the Bible–he made mistakes.

Ahn Sahng Hong Vs Scripture
People make mistakes.  People are sometimes inaccurate in their work.  God is not.  Therefore, Ahn Sahng Hong cannot be God.

Thank you very much for all of this information. My daughter and her best friends have joined this church and I have been looking for information to let them know this place is not right.
